Dear Members and Friends,
Hope you are keeping well and staying safe.
It’s been a while since we last had our social gathering with all MIC members. With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions and improved vaccination rate, we start to see some positive signs and hope you are feeling more comfortable about the current situation. Perhaps it is time to catch up with all of you!
We would like to take this opportunity to invite Members for an afternoon BBQ at the Middle Island, Aberdeen Boat Club (熨波洲). We also welcome Members to bring along their spouses, children or any Non-Members to come and join us for what we hope to be a lovely afternoon. Details as follows:
Date : 13 Nov 2021 (Saturday)
Venue: Middle Island, Aberdeen Boat Club
Ferry Pick Up Point: Aberdeen Boat Club pontoon, 20 Shum Wan Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong
Time:2pm – 8pm
Dress Code : Casual and comfortable
We will be gathering our guests at 2pm at the main Clubhouse, for ferry ride at 2:30pm. Please see appended herewith the ABC Location Map and traffic information.
This event shall be charged at HK$ 200 pp for Members inclusive of two drinks. Members may feel free to bring along one spouse or child (HK$300 pp) or non-member (HK$500 pp). Due to limitations of space, each member can only bring along one person to participate in this event. Applicable to members, non-members, spouses and children - for those who signed up for the event but could not make it at the end, we will be charging HK$200.00 per person as a forfeited booking fee.
The number of people we can accommodate is limited and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please enroll on or before 11 November 2021.

During the Hong Kong Maritime Week 2021, the Marine Insurance Club will organize a seminar - “Practical aspects of ship operation and P&I in dealing with crew changes under COVID-19”. We are delighted to invite experienced professionals from various maritime fields to share their perspectives and practical experiences on how COVID-19 affects crew changes and practical measures to deal with it.
